Can you believe we are here at Christmas time, yet again! 2024 has been a huge year here at Clarence Dental, with some big changes alongside that reliable ‘same old, same old’ that our patients know and love!

In February we bid our long term dental assistant, Amanda, farewell as she moved with her family to Townsville. We wish Amanda all the best in her new chapter up north, and look forward to hearing all about her adventures!

In what turned out to be somewhat of a North Queensland exchange, we were thrilled to welcome our new dental assistant, Liv, to the fold as she moved down to Brisbane from Airlie Beach! Liv is an absolute gem, bringing her expertise and calming, friendly nature to the team and patients alike. We look forward to introducing you all to Liv, if we’ve not done so already, when you next visit with Brenda or Jenny.

This year we also enjoyed a bit more of the contribution of Brenda’s husband, Brendan, on the front desk. Brendan has been stepping in to help out from time to time over the years and in the latter half of this year, became a permanent 2 day a week fixture as Donna attended placement as part of her Master of Public Health degree with The University of Queensland.

As it turns out, Brendan’s contributions have become his training wheels - as Donna has finally, after 24 years at the practice, decided to move on to a new challenge in 2025. This is a really bitter sweet moment for us all, as Donna has been our "part of the furniture” fixture for such a long time and has built so many strong relationships with our team and patients. She will be missed, but rest assured, Donna has downloaded all her knowhow to Brendan and he is ready to hit the ground running to take the wheel! This change has us excited to welcome some new faces to the team next year, alongside familiar faces and perhaps even a blast from the past.

2024 has been an exciting year here at Clarence Dental, and we have loved every moment of welcoming our patients as friends as we have done for so many years here in Indooroopilly. We really do appreciate each and every one of our patients’ support and loyalty and look forward to continuing these relationships into 2025 and beyond.
